As far as adjusting to this weird font issue, might I suggest the usage of a small visual image to represent a character's HP and FP rather than their name? Perhaps as an alternative version? As I've done tests and with the Hey Gorgeous font gone in battle, the game actually runs MUCH smoother! Perhaps just cutting down on its usage on the screen could save a lot of resources? Or maybe using a stock font instead? What might be the issue is the fancy trick you guys do to make the font have a sort of black outline in battle, as outside of the status effect message, the font looks a bit more detailed.
